The three coat polyurethane system in use! This bridge was marginally prepared using wire wheels and grinders. Due to a lead paint hazard, it was overcoated with two coats of permanent rust sealer and one coat of 111 topcoat. An inspection 14 years later revealed less than 5% corrosion. The bridge is located in Pittsburgh, PA. Bridges done with this three coat system have generally a 25 year service life before repainting.
