Never a brush mark! Mastercoat Black Chassis Coating HIGH GLOSS from The Master Series Coating Line is a superb topcoat for our Mastercoat Permanent Rust Sealer. It is tough and will also prevent rust on its own, therefore it can be used by itself, but a much longer service life of preventing rust is achieved by using the Mastercoat Permanent Rust Sealer as a primer for this topcoat. It is a simple yet extremely effective option for a beautiful gloss black chassis paint. Can be applied by brush, roller, or spray gun. Use our MCT101 Thinner or your own medium urethane reducer for reduction. WARNING: It is not UV stable, but there is no hardener to mix in. For a UV stable coating, please see Mastercoat AG111 Ultimate Finish Coating. Mastercoat Chassis Black available only in gloss black finish. Covers 100sq feet with one coat. Coverage is approximate.
🚨 PLEASE NOTE, MASTERCOAT IS A RUST PREVENTATIVE SYSTEM. Prepare the surface by sandblasting, or with wire wheels and grinders. If the surface has paint on it, remove as much as possible and scuff up any tightly adhering paint. Clean contaminants on the surface with mineral spirits. Use Metal Prep or another phosphoric acid based metal prep (optional) on surfaces which have NOT been painted, apply two coats of Mastercoat Permanent Rust Sealer Original or Slim, and 1-2 coats of Mastercoat AG111, Mastercoat Black Chassis Finish, or your own topcoat. Not adhering to this system may not achieve the desired results. The key to this chassis coating working as expected is to understand that is is moisture cured. Ideal relative humidity for working with this material is 50%. Do not apply thick coats.

Shelf life: one year on unopened cans. Opening the containers drastically reduces shelf life.

WEAR GLOVES AND FACE COVERING WHEN USING MASTERCOAT PRODUCTS. A charcoal respirator is recommended when brushing and an air supplied mask is recommended when spraying rust sealers and topcoats. Proper ventilation is required for all products.
DO NOT LET RUST SEALER AND TOPCOAT PRODUCTS DRY IN YOUR PAINT GUN. Always clean immediately with urethane reducer (MCT101) or lacquer thinner. (DO NOT use lacquer thinner as a reducer for any of our products).
DO NOT PUT RUST SEALERS AND TOPCOATS ON A SHAKER TO MIX. Contents build pressure.
