Mastercoat® Permanent Rust Sealer from The Master Series Coating Line is part of a rust preventative SYSTEM. Mastercoat® Permanent Rust Sealer is an all-in-one primer, surfacer, and rust sealer that will stop rust permanently on your vehicle, trailer, tractor, boat, outdoor furnishings, or anywhere rust occurs. This SILVER primer is self-leveling to fill in surface pits, highly sandable, UV stable, and toothy for good adhesion for a topcoat. Use at least two coats of anti-corrosive Mastercoat® Permanant Rust Sealer and 1-2 coats of Mastercoat® Chassis Black or AG111 as a topcoat for a super effective system to stop rust and keep it from coming back on your car's chassis. Mastercoat® Permanent Rust Sealer can also be used on its own with multiple coats. Mastercoat® Permanent Rust Sealer also accepts any paint of your choosing as a topcoat. Can be applied with a brush, roller, or sprayed. ORIGINAL is ideal for brushing or rolling on!  IMPORTANT: You will need to apply TWO coats of Mastercoat Permanent Rust Sealer in every application, and three coats if using only Mastercoat® Permanent Rust Sealer without a topcoat.

Which Mastercoat Permanent Rust Sealer should I choose? If you are BRUSHING it on, choose Mastercoat Permanent Rust Sealer ORIGINAL. If you are spraying it through a gun or coating the inside of a gas tank, choose Mastercoat Permanent Rust Sealer SLIM. All varieties of Mastercoat Permanent Rust Sealer achieve the same long lasting results! The type you choose only depends on how you want to apply it.

NOTE ABOUT ORIGINAL VS SLIM FORMULAS: If Original is out of stock, you can brush the Slim and spray the original with MCT101 thinner or urethane reducer and get the same long lasting results. THE SLIM IS NOT "PRE-THINNED". Slim formula simply does not contain thickener like the Original formula does.

COVERAGE: Each quart covers about 100 square feet on both formulas. Coverage is approximate. 

SHELF LIFE: Use within one year of purchase. Opening the containers can drastically reduce the shelf life.

SERVICE LIFE: Up to 25 years if used as directed and topcoated with AG111 or Chassis Black topcoat, and depending on environmental conditions.

USES: Almost anywhere rust occurs. Automotive, roofs, outdoor fixtures that may rust. Not for areas subject to heat higher than 350 degrees continous. Not for exhaust manifolds. Can be used in marine applications, but not areas that are submerged for long periods of time. 

READ THIS SECTION BEFORE PURCHASING; IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT INSTRUCTIONS & USE: In order for Mastercoat products to work as expected, you must follow all instructions on labels and our user's guide. Recoat and topcoat only when rust sealer is dry to the touch. DO NOT RECOAT WHILE RUST SEALER IS TACKY. Do not follow instructions given by Google AI. These instructions are not based on Mastercoat's instructions and we are not responsible for results when these incorrect instructions are followed. We are able to determine whether instructions were properly followed by results.

Please note that Mastercoat Permanent Rust Sealer is one part of a rust preventative system; the order in which the products in this system are used is 1.) Mastercoat Metal Prep (optional), 2.) two coats of Mastercoat Permanent Rust Sealer, 3.) 1-2 coats of Mastercoat AG111, OR Mastercoat Chassis Black Finish, OR any paint or primer of your choosing as a topcoat.

WEAR GLOVES AND FACE COVERING WHEN USING MASTERCOAT PRODUCTS. A charcoal respirator is recommended when brushing and an air supplied mask is recommended when spraying rust sealers and topcoats. Proper ventilation is required for all products.

DO NOT LET RUST SEALER AND TOPCOAT PRODUCTS DRY IN YOUR PAINT GUN.  Always clean immediately with urethane reducer (MCT101) or lacquer thinner. (DO NOT use lacquer thinner as a reducer for any of our products). 

DO NOT PUT RUST SEALERS AND TOPCOATS ON A SHAKER TO MIX. Contents build pressure.
